Chef and Proprietor, Darren Ireland, wanted to create a modern and dynamic dining experience in the traditional seaside resort of Newcastle, at the foot of the Mournes. Having engaged Richmond to design a concept which not only reflected his passion for food and locally sourced products but also met the anticipated budget and time frame.
The interior takes its influences from the colors associated with Vanilla and embellishes the concept with rich golds and purples. Lustrous green fabrics animate the space and sit comfortably with the gold, yellows and purple velvet hues. Natural oak envelopes the space bringing continuity and craftsmanship to this small and intimate environment.
Vanilla Restaurant as a contemporary solution sits comfortably where the mountains roll down to the sea but could equally challenge any city centre location for its vivacious dining and culinary excellence.
