The former Cheers Bar in Lurgan was always a popular destination with a broad customer base. With the change in ownership and name, J.P’s lounge bar needed revitalised given other recent refurbishments in the area.
Given that the existing ceiling was so low, the illusion of height is achieved with marrying natural cream colours with the walls. deliberately painting out the beams and plaster ceiling all one colour helps take the emphasis away from the height and trains your eye on the contemporary damask wall covering and linear striped fabrics.
These fabrics in themselves achieve a sense of contemporary classic and coupled with the natural oak panelling, flooring and detailing strike a balance of new and old.
The feature bar commands the space with inset veneer panelling forming a striking perimeter band to the bar. Cream coloured natural ceramics help the spaciousness of the lounge in what is in effect quite a small space.
Balance is the main intention of this Richmond solution. A marriage of contemporary and classic in what is proving a popular destination in Lurgan.
Cost effective and on time, Richmond’s commitment to quality design and manufacturing standards are amplified in J.P’s bar and lounge.
